Beijing, January 10, 2019 – Lu Yi has taken office as Audi China Executive Vice President today. In this new position, he is responsible for steering the marketing and sales related business of Audi in China, which is a core part of the new alignment of Audi China Enterprise Management Company. Lu Yi will report directly to Thomas Owsianski, Audi China President.
“Lu Yi has rich experiences in sales and marketing in the auto industry in China. He will bring a new dynamic to the Audi brand,” said Audi China President Thomas Owsianski. “His joining lays an important foundation for Audi’s future development in China. We are very happy to welcome him in our team.”
Under the Audi China 2.0 strategy, Audi China will be responsible for steering sales and marketing of Audi in the Chinese market. A core milestone of this strategy is the establishment of a marketing brand communications team which will be headed by Lu Yi.
Lu Yi has 20 years of work and management experience in the auto industry in China. Born in Shanghai, he was previously President of Dongfeng Infiniti and Managing Director of Infiniti China, where he was responsible for Infiniti China operations and strategy. Prior to that, he was the President of the Jaguar Land Rover Sales Organization in China from 2014 to 2015 and Vice President of BMW China from 2010 to 2012.
