LEVEL Motorsports

Double Am podiums for Han Jingfeng and Yang Xiaowei in China GT Championship
• 610 Racing pair secure second and third in class at double header
• 33R Harmony Racing and 610 Racing share GT3 Masters victories
• Solid start for He Baifeng and Lu Yiqin in the 326 Racing Team Audi R8 LMS GT4 evo

Shanghai, April 20, 2026 – There was drama aplenty as the China GT Championship (CGTC) got underway at the 5.451km Shanghai International Circuit, the eight Audi squads competing amongst a record field. 610 Racing’s Han Jingfeng and Yang Xiaowei excelled, taking Am class podiums in each of the two 56-minute races. In the Masters class, 610 Racing celebrated victory with solo driver Johnson Huang in race one, while Xing Yanbin and Ray Wu took the honours in race two for 33R Harmony Racing.

In race one, Han and Yang’s eye-catching recovering drive saw them charge from the rear of the 28-strong GT3 field and onto the Am podium after an opening lap incident, finishing third in class. Race two saw the duo go one better with a second-place finish. Meanwhile, there was crushing disappointment for LEVEL Motorsport’s Jackson Chuang Chishun and Su Yenming when a technical issue forced their retirement while running fourth overall and leading the Am class.

The colossal CGTC entry – a total of 57 cars - saw separate races for the GT3 and GTC/GTS entrants. In the GTC/GTS races, He Baifeng and Lu Yiqin got their 326 Racing Team Audi R8 LMS GT4 evo GTS Am campaign off to a solid start. A 30-second post-race penalty after race one denied them a top seven class finish, but the pair successfully avoided trouble to bring the car home after both eventful races.

CGTC continues next month when it travels to Ningbo International Circuit where round two will be held from May 22-24.

Race 1

610 Racing’s Yang Xiaowei was the top-starting of the seven Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II entries for the opening double-header of the CGTC season, roaring away at the start from the Am pole, P7 overall amongst the bumper field.

However, in a chaotic opening series of turns, Yang was clipped and spun around, putting him to the back of the field from where he immediately mounted a furious fight-back.

Meanwhile, 326 Racing Team’s Wu Yifan was on the hunt for an Am podium, the seasoned driver hindered by a fierce challenge from a class rival behind, eventually forfeiting a position. Wu then lost a further place to the hard-charging Yang, who had caught the eye with his lightning recovery from the rear of the field.

Driving solo, 610 Racing’s Johnson Huang led the trio of Masters Audi entries away from class pole. 33R Harmony Racing’s Xing Yanbin snatched the lead early on, before Huang reclaimed his pole advantage, the pair chased by Incipient Racing’s Xiao Min.

Shortly after the driver changeovers, Masters entrant Huang was involved in a clash, the incident allowing Han Jingfeng, who had taken over the 610 Racing Audi from Yang, to climb to P3 in Am ahead of LEVEL Motorsports’ Su Yenming. However, Su was handed a drive-through penalty for a short pit stop when he took over from team mate Jackson Chuang Chishun.

More drama followed when, with just ten minutes remaining, an incident saw Wu’s team mate Liu Zichen sustain a puncture on the 326 Racing Team Audi, the quick-thinking driver finding a safe place to bring the car to a halt. This avoided the necessity for a safety car and allowed racing to continue.

As the clock ticked down, a final push by Han saw him snatch P2 in Am, before ultimately crossing the line third in class to take his and Yang’s first podium of the season. As Su also fought to claim an Am podium, he was handed a drive-through penalty which put him down to P7 in class behind Climax Racing’s Li Dongsheng and Li Donghui. LEVEL Motorsports’ Jackson Chuang Chishun and Su Yenming finished seventh in the Am class.

In the Masters class, Huang took the flag for LEVEL Motorsports ahead of 33R Harmony Racing’s Ray Wu. However, both teams were hit with penalties. Huang’s advantage at the flag was sufficient for him to retain the class victory, but the penalty meant Incipient Racing’s Xiao Min and Wang Wencheng were classified second ahead of Xing and Wu.

The GTC/GTS season-opener saw He Baifeng get the 326 Racing Team off to a solid start with a strong opening stint in the Audi R8 LMS GT4 evo. Gaining four places on the opening lap, He climbed into class podium contention despite a safety car frustrating his charge. Team mate Lu Yiqin took the wheel at the mandatory pit stop, but his efforts were frustrated by two further safety car suspensions. The pair were classified P7 in class, P16 overall before a 30 second time penalty put them down the order amongst the 29-car field.

Race 2

Su Yenming took the opening stint in the LEVEL Motorsports Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II, making a strong getaway from P7, and quickly gaining ground. He rapidly moved up to fourth overall, and the Am class lead.

Ten minutes into the race, disaster struck when 610 Racing’s Han Jingfeng and Liu Zichen made contact at turn two, both cars spinning. Each continued, but with Han down to P19 and Liu at the rear of the field. Liu was handed a five-second penalty for the incident, the additional time added to the team’s pit stop.

As the pit window opened, Su held fourth overall, with Climax Racing’s Li Dongsheng further down the order but running strongly just outside Am podium contention.

An extended pit stop caused by a suspected technical issue for the LEVEL Motorsports squad meant Jackson Chuang Chishun headed into his stint at the rear of the field. In what was a crushing disappointment for the team, the issue returned, sending Chuang back to the pits and into retirement.

Back out on track, Climax Racing’s Li Donghui led the Audi pack, still on the hunt for the Am podium, before being overtaken by Yang Xiaowei who had taken the wheel of the 610 Racing Audi from team mate Han.

The final ten minutes saw Yang continue his charge, climbing up the order and onto the Am podium before going one better in the closing minutes of the race to finish second in class. Li Dongsheng and Li Donghui finished P6 in class for Climax Racing ahead of 326 Racing Team’s Wu Yifan and Liu Zichen who took a top nine class finish.

In the Masters class, it was a triumphant win for 33R Harmony Racing’s Xing Yanbin and Ray Wu who led from class pole to chequered flag, leading home 610 Racing’s Johnson Huang and Xiao Min and Wang Wencheng of Incipient Racing.

With 27 starters for the second GTC/GTS race, He Baifeng and Lu Yiqin once again had their work cut out amongst the competitive GTS Am class. Lu took the opening stint in the 326 Racing Team Audi R8 LMS GT4 evo with a clean run to hand over to He at the half-way point. He made headway through the field, pushing hard for a top ten class finish but ultimately crossing the line just shy of his ambition in P11 after a safety car suspension. The race finished under the safety car after two incidents in the closing stages.
