Ningbo/Buriram, May 20, 2026 – Eight Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II will be in action across China and Thailand in a busy weekend for top-level Asian motorsport. Six squads will contest the second round of the burgeoning China GT Championship (CGTC) at China’s Ningbo International Speedway, while multi title-winning team B-Quik Absolute Racing will field both their Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo IIs in the TSS The Super Series (TSS) curtain-raiser at Thailand’s Chang International Circuit from May 22-24.
“The Audi squads are, once more, gearing up across the continent, with eight Audi R8 LMS GT3 race cars in action in China and Thailand this coming weekend at China GT and The Super Series,” said Alexander Blackie, Head of Audi Sport customer racing Asia. “In China GT, our privateers will be looking to strengthen their Am class title tilts at the Ningbo International Speedway after a solid season start last month in Shanghai. Meanwhile, long-time Audi customer team B-Quik Absolute Racing is all set to kick off the TSS season at the Chang International Circuit and ignite their bid to regain the overall TSS GT3 championship.”
Leading the six-Audi CGTC contingent into Ningbo at the top of the GT3 Am leaderboard is 610 Racing’s Yang Xiaowei having taken two class podiums at last month’s Shanghai season-opener alongside Han Jingfeng. For round two, Yang is joined on the team by Li Lichao. Also returning to the Am ranks are racing brothers Li Dongsheng and Li Donghui, who took two top-six class finishes with Climax Racing in Shanghai.
LEVEL Motorsports’ Jackson Chuang Chisun and Su Yenming will be keen to get their campaign back on track after facing disappointment at the season-opener thanks to a technical hitch, despite a strong showing. Likewise, 326 Racing’s Wu Yifan and Liu Zichen will be keen to get back to business after an eventful season start.
Although 610 Racing’s Johnson Huang leads the GT3 Masters league table after a class victory and runner-up finish in Shanghai, he moves to the Pro/Am ranks for round two where he is joined by son Gavin. The younger Huang has proved his talent as a star of sportscar one-make racing, and the duo makes a potent pairing. Joining them in the Pro/Am class Lu Zhiwei and Zhang Shimo who take over at crack squad 33R Harmony Racing.
As the six-stop, two-nation 2026 TSS Supercar GT3 series gets underway in Thailand, multiple champions B-Quik Absolute Racing has announced a two-Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II entry for the TSS The Super Series by B-Quik – Supercar GT3 double header.
The season-opener sees the return of triple TSS Supercar GT3 champion Sandy Stuvik to the wheel of an Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II. A former junior single seater star in both Asia and Europe, Stuvik switched to GT competition in 2017, where he replicated the success of his early career. He took the team’s Audi R8 LMS GT3 to three overall TSS Supercar GT3 titles between 2019 and 2022.
The Thai-Norwegian driver is partnered on the Pro/Am entry by Madagascan talent Iaro ‘Bou’ Razanakoto, also 31. Razanakoto makes the move to the GT3 ranks with the team this season as reigning and two-time TSS Supercar GT4 champion, and the ambitious talent completes what is a compelling driver combination.
Australian Daniel Bilski reignites his long and successful association with Audi with a full TSS season where he is partnered by Am team mate Thailand’s Sathapond Veerachure.
Bilski has earned a reputation as one of the quickest and most versatile privateers in the region. A TSS overall and class title winner, Bilski won the Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup Am championship in 2015, taking a class victory in the Sepang 12 Hours the following year in a B-Quik Audi. A class victory at the legendary Bathurst 12 Hours in 2024, was followed by a top-three finish in the TSS Supercar GT4 standings last season.
Veerachure, meanwhile, is the second driver from the B-Quik Junior Programme to climb the ranks to GT3 competition. Having successfully campaigned as part of the team’s TSS Supercar GT4 roster, early last season Veerachure made a one-off Supercar GT3 appearance alongside fellow team protégé Adisak Tangphuncharoen, the talented pair taking the Am victories in both races.
The CGTC weekend gets underway at China’s Ningbo International Speedpark on Thursday, May 21, with two days of testing and free practice sessions. Qualifying starts at 11:10 on Saturday, and race one getting underway at 16:20. Sunday’s schedule sees the second GT3 56-minute plus one lap race at 14:15 (all times UTC+08:00).
In Thailand, the 2026 TSS The Super Series by B-Quik season also starts on Thursday, May 21, with testing, followed by Friday qualifying from 16:40 at Chang International Circuit. The first 60-minute plus one lap race starts at 16:10 on Saturday, with race two getting underway at 13:25 (all times UTC+07:00).
Following the opening round in Buriram, TSS heads into one of the season’s highlights on the Bangsaen Street Circuit in Chonburi in July. Venturing further afield for rounds three and four, Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit is the venue for two double-headers in August and September, before TSS returns to Thai soil for the season finale in Buriram from October 30 to November 1.
